NULC students ‘let the cat out of the bag’

16 students from the Foundation degree (Fd) in Graphics and Digital Design at Newcastle-under-Lyme College (NULC) have raised over £300 for charity.

The enterprising students collectively named '16 degrees' launched their limited edition merchandise at NULC yesterday.  The 16 students came up with a range of designs based on quirky slogans, such as ‘better late than never’ and ‘every cloud has a silver lining’. The 16 designs were very popular amongst staff and students at NULC with one design of tote bag; ‘Let the cat out of the bag’ totally selling out.

As well as the stall at NULC, the students also launched an online shop www.16degrees.net and will be selling the remainder of their designs at Staffordshire University on Monday 11 April from 11.30am.  All profits will be donated to local charity University Hospital North Staffordshire (UHNS).

Products on offer at NULC included tote bags for £3, t-shirts for £10 and screen prints for £12.  Anyone wanting to get hold of one of the limited edition items is encouraged to visit www.16degrees.net before they totally sell out.
